Privacy Policy

This policy is a legal draft, not an attorney-reviewed final policy. We will update it as the service and its legal review develop, and we will keep the update date visible here.

Information we store

• Your GitHub profile information used for sign-in, such as your GitHub user ID, name, email address, username, and avatar when GitHub provides it.
• The repository connection and repo contents needed to build the blogs you choose to publish, including rendered posts and blog settings.
• Basic operational information, such as account and publish timestamps, error records, and aggregate pageview counts.
• Messages you send through the contact form, including your name, email address, and message.

Where the data lives

Account, blog, post, and contact records are stored in Neon-hosted PostgreSQL. Published blog assets and cached responses may be stored in Cloudflare R2 and KV and delivered through Cloudflare. GitHub supplies repository and OAuth data. These providers process data to run the service.

Analytics

We use privacy-conscious, first-party analytics to understand service use. This includes pageview counts and limited technical information needed to count visits and diagnose failures. We do not sell personal information.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, publish the blogs you request, operate and secure the service, answer support requests, and understand whether Folder Blog is working. We limit use to those operating purposes and the choices you make in the product.

Deletion

During beta, deletion requests are handled manually. Email support@folder.blog from the address connected to your account. After we verify the request, we will remove the account and its stored blog data from active systems. Cached copies and routine backups may remain until they expire or are rotated; we may retain limited records when required for security or legal reasons.
